Martial Arts in Croydon: What Makes Us Different

Looking for martial arts classes in Croydon? You’ll find plenty of choices, but not all martial arts clubs are the same. At WCKUK Croydon Wing Chun, we take a no-nonsense approach to self-defence that’s also structured, welcoming, and designed to build real confidence in both kids and adults.

We focus on discipline, personal growth, and practical skills, no shouting, no belts, no egos.

Meet Sifu Jason Ludwig

Classes are led by Sifu Jason Ludwig, Head Instructor at WCKUK Croydon and a lifelong martial artist.

Jason began training in Wing Chun in 1992, combining influences from his father’s background in Wing Chun and boxing, as well as Tai Chi. Over the years, he’s worked with respected Sifus, competition fighters, and instructors from across the martial arts world, constantly refining his own approach.

He’s also competed in gymnastics, helping him develop agility and precision in both movement and instruction.

After a short break from martial arts to pursue a music career, Jason returned to teaching in 2007, became part of the WCKUK Organisation in 2010, and qualified as a Certified Instructor in 2014. Since then, he’s committed over 30 hours a week to teaching and training.

Outside of Wing Chun, Jason works in the film and television industry as a Special Action Performer and stuntman, and he’s an active musician with experience in writing, recording, and touring.

“Having trained in Wing Chun since the age of 4, this isn’t just a passion — it’s my career. I’m proud to offer some of the most effective Wing Chun in South London through WCKUK.” – Sifu Jason Ludwig
