It’s been a year I won’t ever forget. The world has changed so much within 9 months that looking back at old photos of classes and big seminars seem almost alien now, where ever you go you are reminded of the changes. However, even with lockdowns, tier systems and everything else we all faced, we are still here! 🙂
I’m really proud of all the team, the day before the first lockdown I called everyone and said we are going online, while this was completely new everyone knew it needed to be done and was on board, we created a website with a timetable of classes, and within a few days were running about 20 online sessions every week which saw us through the first lockdown as well as creating support groups, and other ideas to keep everyone busy.
It was a fun time as we were all in the same situation, all living our own lives, but the training pulled everyone together. I’d like to personally thank, Sifu’s Russell Benham, Jason Ludwig, Paul Simpson, Steve Poskitt, Dan Atkins, Talon Campbell, Dan Marchant, Phil Riggs, Chris Mastin, Ken Pang, and Steve & Bradley. You all made the time more enjoyable for so many people and helped the time go by. These guys make the WCKUK what it is, they all deserve the credit and I’m lucky to have such a quality team to work alongside with.
So here we are in December still going, in a world where it seems all Martial Arts are slowly being crushed due to social distancing and other restrictions, however, we will work around it and I can promise you we won’t stop. No matter what 2021 brings with it, we are ready and are making plans to keep your training on point with some very exciting projects in the works, which I believe will be a game-changer in terms of your progression and Wing Chun in general. But more on this in the New Year can’t give away everything now…
